I managed to get almost a full seasons diving out of one set of batteries so why keep dismantling the torch to recharge the batteries. Batteries last so long in an led torch that in my opinion rechargables are just another complication. standard batteries, yes, just fit and forget.

I have been testing one of the 3WS torches this year and find it almost powerful enough for use as a main torch and amazingly a single set of batteries lasted all summer plus a fortnights holiday and still going strong.

Dependent on batteries an amazing 150 lumens is possible with this torch.

Warranty User Guide for water sport and scuba diving torches

Take care to insert batteries with correct polarity.
Apply silicon lubricant to protect and enhance the integrity of the seals prior to carrying out deep dives.
Rinse the torch with fresh water after diving activity.
All starlight torches. Use WD-40 to lubricate the external switch periodically to clear any marine growths
For travelling, remove the batteries from position prior to placing the torch in the luggage, because X-ray checks may cause the switch to switch on automatically.
When the batteries are exhausted, remove them from the torch to prevent acid leaks.
